MailChimp Integration

Mailchimp Freddie Integration with MailChimp allows you to send transactional emails and run email marketing campaigns quickly and efficiently (eShopv2 platform v2.11 & greater).

    • Subscribe to newsletter

A newsletter subscription form will be added to the website. This will enable users to enter their email address to subscribe. On submission of the form the user will be added to the mailing list.

    • Submit basket

Customer’s baskets, including product sku, quantity and price will be uploaded to MailChimp. The customer must reach the address entry section of the checkout in order for the basket to be submitted.

    • Update basket

Any additional items added to a customer basket will be submitted to MailChimp to reflect the changes in the MailChimp cart.

    • Abandoned baskets

After X days (configurable in settings) a basket will be deemed abandoned and the MailChimp cart will be updated to abandoned. This process will run automatically, typically once a day.

    • Submit orders

If a customer successfully completes the checkout and an order is created, the order data, including product sku, quantity and price will be submitted to MailChimp and the cart deleted.

Notes

  • You must have a MailChimp account with version 3 API
  • The eShop MailChimp integration will be configured to link to a specific list ID within MailChimp
  • As part of the integration a store id will be created in MailChimp in order to store basket and order information, this will typically be called eShop
